Customize your digital workflows one step further by creating step messages —displays that inform your workflow participants that their information was captured and the next step is rendering.
Step messages can be set to the default mode or an individualized message. Here’s how!
Navigate to step messages
Step 1: Open a workflow. From the Formstack Account, select Workflows from your App Stack. Select a created workflow or select Create New to build one from scratch.
Step 2: Edit a step. From the workflow, select the three dots on an individual step to edit if you're making an adjustment to a step. Otherwise, the step settings option will be available while setting up your step.
Please note: The ability to adjust the custom step completion message is only available on Forms steps at this time.
Step 3: Toggle to the Step Settings tab.
Edit a step message
From the Step Settings tab, choose from Default Message or Custom Message.
The Custom Message feature allows you to create a submission message, edit the Button Label, and from the edit text box, you can customize features like font type and colors to fit your organization’s branding. Select Done once finished to save.
NOTE: Customized step messages must be done for every individual step at this time.
