Adding the Font Awesome source to your form
First, you will need to get the source code. You can do this by going to the Font Awesome site and going to the Get Started tab. Once you are there you will want to enter your email address into the Font Awesome CDN and click "Send my Font Awesome Embed Code!". This will send you an email with the Embed Code so you can add the source to your form.
They will send the embed code to your email address. Once you get the code you will need to copy the code and paste it into an embed code on your form. You can find the Embed Code option by going to the form > Build. The Embed Code is a field option in the left-hand options for the form. We suggest placing the Embed Code at the top of the form.
Adding the icons
Once you have the source added you are ready to add the icons! First, you will need to find the icon you want to add. You can view the full list here! Then, you'll want to think about where you want to add that icon on the form.
Let's say you want to add a location icon in a Description field in front of the address of your company.
First, go to the icon page in Font Awesome and find that icon. On the icon page, there will be a <i> tag.
Copy the tag and then go to your form in Formstack. Once you add the Description area there is an option in the top left-hand corner of the Description field to edit the HTML (< >) . If you click that option you can then paste the tag in the Description area. Once you have pasted the tag you can click the < > button again and you will see the icon! Then you can enter the text you want to enter after the icon like you would normally add text.
Then you have added an icon!
If you want to make the icon bigger you can edit the size of the icon by adding a mixing option to the <i> a size option.
For example, out location icon's <i> tag was this:
<i class="fa fa-map-marker" aria-hidden="true">
If we want it to be bigger we can change the <i> tag to this:
<i class="fa fa-map-marker fa-2x" aria-hidden="true">
You can see a "fa-2x" was added after the fa-map-marker option. Below are examples of all of the different size options you can add :
