Dropbox: Commonly Returned Errors

Below is a list of common errors experienced when integrating Formstack Forms and Dropbox. Here you can reference frequently encountered errors and the suggested corrective action to resolve them. Some errors are dependent on your Form and Dropbox, so additional troubleshooting may be necessary.

  1. ERROR: Dropbox: Invalid auth/bad request (got a 404, expected HTTP/1.1 20X or a redirect)
  • This error typically means that a file was removed from Dropbox, moved into a different folder, or renamed. Check your Dropbox account for any file with the same name as the one causing the error to make sure that it is still in the correct folder and hasn't been renamed.
  1. ERROR: Dropbox: Invalid auth/bad request (got a 507, expected HTTP/1.1 20X or a redirect):
  • This error indicates you've exceeded your storage quota for your Dropbox account. You may need to free up some space in your Dropbox account or reach out to Dropbox support to increase your storage limits.
  • This error can also mean that you need to re-authenticate your Dropbox integration if they confirm the storage limits aren't met and the incoming files will not exceed them. You can do this by going to Settings > Integration Hub > Dropbox, then click “Login to Dropbox” and re-enter your credentials.
  1. ERROR: Dropbox: Invalid auth/bad request (got a 401, expected HTTP/1.1 20X or a redirect):
  • This error is because of invalid credentials in the DropBox integration in Settings. You will want to refresh the credentials by going to Settings > Integration Hub > Dropbox, then click “Login to Dropbox” and re-enter your credentials.
  1. ERROR: OAuth Request: Integration not found:
  • Clearing the cache of your web browser and re-launching the browser should resolve this error. Steps for clearing your cache can be found here.
