Want to generate a Document Template using fields on your form automatically? All you have to do is enter the URL of your live form. This will allow Formstack Documents to import form fields into your Document Template as Merge Fields. This will save you time recreating the form on the Document Builder.
Here is how it works.
In the Document Builder, select
Enter your form URL. Make sure the link is to the live form, not the form builder.
By selecting “Hide empty fields from the output document,” you can add conditions to your Merge Fields. This means if there is no incoming data for a specific field from your form, the output document will not print that field.
Click “Import form," and you will see all the form fields inserted in the Document Builder. Now, you can easily make changes and add supporting text, images, or brand elements to your document.
