Read-only fields will be displayed on the form, however, the user will not be able to type anything into these fields. They are useful for displaying default values or totals that you don't want the user to be able to edit but that you still want them to see.
One example would be a total field on an order form, which would allow the user to see the total but not manually edit it to avoid charges.
The "Read-only" option can be enabled from the general settings of your field on the left side of the screen when the field you'd like to adjust has been selected. The fields types that currently support the read-only setting include the following:
- Short answer
- Long answer
- Name
- Date/Time
- Rating
