Utilize Formstack Documents and the ActiveCampaign webhook to empower your sales team to be successful from tracking an initial lead to closing deals. 
 

Setup Document

Step 1: Set up a template for a quote within a Word document. Within the template, use merge fields like {$FirstName}, {$CompanyName}, {$Amount} to insert your customer and deal information.

Step 2: Upload the template to Formstack Documents. Select New Document, enter a name, and choose "I have a document I would like to use" from the dialogue box.

Note: You may also use a template or build from scratch right within the Formstack Documents app. See here for more information.

Step 3: Pick how you want it delivered and select Next. 

Step 4: Choose to Integrate with an external service from the "Choose where the data will come from" dialogue box and select finish to be taken to your uploaded document.

Step 5: Under the Settings tab, customize the settings. Under Advanced Settings select:

  • Save Data to Re-Merge / Download Later
  • User Field Map for custom integrations

Step 6: Set up the email delivery of the document to be sent directly to your customer. Under the Delivery tab, select "Edit" and toggle to Merge Field under "Send Email to." Choose the email merge field from the dropdown option or if you don’t have a merge field in your document for the email address, select <> from the dropdown and then enter {$Email} in the box.

 

Connect to ActiveCampaign 

After you have updated your email delivery, set up the process inside Formstack Documents to integrate with ActiveCampaign.  

Step 1: Copy the Merge URL under the Merge tab.

Step 2: Sign in to ActiveCampaign and navigate to the Automations page.

Step 3: Create a new automation from scratch that is triggered based on the stage of the deal is changed.

Step 4: Select the plus (+) symbol to add a new action and choose Webhook.

Step 5: Paste in the Merge URL from Formstack Documents and Save.
