What is an Access Token?
An Access Token is a sequence of alphanumeric characters that work as a “key” and allows you to connect to a Formstack Forms account that is not associated with your Documents account.
Who can generate an Access Token in Formstack Forms?
Any user who has an Account Admin role in Formstack Forms.
How do I generate an Access Token in Formstack Forms?
The Account Admin that has access to the Formstack Forms account should:
Step 1: Log in to Formstack Forms.
Step 2: Select the API option under the avatar dropdown menu.
Step 3: Click on the New Application button.
Step 4: Complete the fields:
- Give the new API key a name to help you distinguish it from the other keys. (example: Documents).
- Set your redirect link. If another login is required, your end-user may be redirected to this link. (example: http://formstack.com).
- Create a description that allows you to distinguish from other keys (example: Data Capture to Forms).
- Logo: This is optional.
- Platform: Website.
Step 5: Click the Create Application button.
Step 6: Copy the Access Token generated and send it to the user that needs to connect to the Formstack Forms account.
