While we currently do not offer a native integration with Microsoft Dynamics, one can easily be set up through Zapier. The steps below walk you through this configuration within Zapier.
1.) First, you'll want to log into your Formstack account and create your form that will be used to capture information that should be fed into Microsoft Dynamics.
2.) Go to www.zapier.com and either log in or sign up for an account if you don’t already have one.
Note: Microsoft Dynamics is a Premium integration for Zapier and requires a paid plan with Zapier
3.) Click on ‘Make a Zap’ at the top of the page once you’re logged in.
4.) In the app search bar, search for ‘Formstack’ and select it once it appears.
5.) Choose ‘New Submission’ as the trigger and then click Save + Continue.
6.) Choose a Formstack account to connect to (if available) or click ‘Connect an Account’.
7.) If you chose to connect to a new account, you’ll be prompted to log into your Formstack account to get it connected to Zapier. Choose the account you want to proceed with and click Save + Continue.
8.) Select the form from Formstack you created in Step 1 either by scrolling through the list of forms or by searching by name and click ‘Continue’ once chosen. Make sure the user you logged into Formstack as when connecting the account has proper permissions for the form.
9.) To test, click ‘Pull in Samples’
10.) You’ll need to make a test submission on your form when pulling in samples. When your test submission is connected, click 'Continue'.
11.) You'll be prompted to create a new step.
12.) Choose the needed action that should happen in Microsoft Dynamics when a Formstack submission occurs. Once selected, click Save + Continue.
13.) Click ‘Connect an Account’ and you’ll be prompted to log into your Microsoft Dynamics account.
12.) From here, you’ll need to edit your template once connected to your Dynamics account and you’ll be prompted to test the step once finished, much like in step 7. Once the test is successful, your Formstack to Microsoft Dynamics integration via Zapier is complete!
