Formstack has the ability to validate specific fields for proper format. This will help ensure you collect the right data the first time. Formstack will validate the Address, Phone Number, Email, and Credit Card Number field for proper format.
When a field isn't in a proper format, an error message will appear at the top of the screen and the field will be highlighted. The form will not submit until the field is fixed.
This error message will also appear if you are using a Minimum or Maximum on a Number field and the user enters a number outside of the range. For example, if you are using a Number field for Quantity and have a Maximum of 10 the form submitter will receive an error if they enter 11.
Email Validation
It's possible to add an extra layer of validation for the email field by adding email validation under the field-specific settings as seen below.
This settings will ask the form submitter to confirm their email address.
Note: Whether you check this option or not, Formstack will still validate any email address entered in this field to make sure it's the right format.
